A computer system, designed to prevent a malfunction that would trigger off a nuclear attack, malfunctions itself and a warhead is accidentally set to destroy Moscow. New York must be destroyed in retaliation.

Henry Fonda stars alongside Larry Hagman and Walter Matthau in a non-comic role.
